EastWest Bank has scored a first in online banking with its introduction of the Check Imaging facility.

Bank customers can now see the checks they issued online. By allowing EastWest Bank NetAccess account holders to view scanned images of the front and back portions of their checks a week after they clear, the Check Imaging facility provides them with hassle-free reconciliation of accounts and the convenience of easier record maintenance and storage as it does away with bulky storage of physical checks.

In addition to the Check Imaging facility, account holders can now view their statements for up to twelve months without the hassle of keeping their physical statements through the eStatement. Those who wish to get hold of their statements can download and print them in the convenience of their own homes and offices.

Aside from these latest offerings, the Bank also has the distinction of giving indicative approval to housing loan applicants within seconds via its Internet loan application process.
